Nothing Like IT
No, there's nothing quite like the feeling of dread, of impending doom, one gets a few days before show time. It's enough to make one wax nostalgic...ahhh... the unfinished sets, actors not knowing their lines, clueless musicians, incomplete props. Breath in.... breath out... Have you ever been in a show wherein your sphincter did not clench a day or two before opening? I sure haven't. Carol is no exception. I believe it will be good; maybe even very good. It's not yet. I'm glad I'm not a director and I never will be one. I can just show up and do my role. The director however....Okay, people are working really hard and I believe they will pull it all together. I've also never been in a show that went up before it was ready. People have worked much harder than have I. Of course I travel almost 100 miles round trip to come and go to the theater so I have somewhat of an excuse for not staying even later than need be. Thank you all for your hard work! Now work harder!!
I backed out of auditioning for Savoy. So many reasons. I've written about some of them. More on this later.
