  • A Good First Weekend
Oh you all know how it goes, as a show gets near opening; panic at the disco. People running around swearing, costumes half made, sets undone, lines forgotten, cats sleeping with dogs, a veritable mini-Armageddon.  And then the opening. Ta Dah! Magic happens. So we pulled it off. Did fairly well too. Oh, there were those community theater moments but all in all the audience enjoyed the experience and everyone in the cast lived through the weekend. Now it's time to fight complacency and work even harder. (I guess it might be more encouraging if I just left it at "good job," but I always want to wring every last drop of excellence out of a production. We can be better and we ought to be better...so let's be better!) I think it's time to have fun with this production. You know the lines, blocking and songs; let's enjoy ourselves. I think if we all loosen up, within the confines of Scott's direction, the result will astound.

Some of the cast of Carol went to auditions for Cuckoo's Nest last night at Haddonfield. Good Luck! I didn't really feel any roles I was suitable for were roles I could get excited about so I sat it out. Looks as though I'm going on a (hopefully short) hiatus.
