Happenings
Christmas Carol is at that really anxiety ridden stage where it stinks on ice and we all wait to see how it will pull together during hell week. Don't get me wrong, there are some fine performances. It's just that, given we have yet to have a run through with the entire cast and no run through at all with music; well you can figure it out. I'm not worried...yet, but I think it's time for the director to kick ass and take names!I was offered another role in Fools but the reasons I turned down the last role still hold, so I turned it down. I felt bad about it but the theater is just too far away to do a part I'm not crazy about. Unfortunately Savoy changed their audition times and it is highly possible that I won't be able to audition for them after all! Certainly a good day for acting news. Oh, and I got a call to do a voice over, misplaced the contact info, and by the time I called back they had already cast the part.
There are no upcoming auditions that look good for me so I may be off for a while. I eagerly await the TAG newsgroup email everyday in the hopes something will appear but it would probably have to be at a theater I haven't worked; all my familiar haunts are doing shows with no role for the Doc. Well, as I've said before, I'm happier not working than doing a project for which I'm less than psyched. I'll wait. Something will turn up; it always does.
